Strengthening MEAL and Theory of Change capacity

Salkan supported a national network of youth advocacy organizations in Peru through MEAL and Theory of Change training and facilitation. The engagement helped member organizations translate shared priorities into strategies and lines of action aligned with territorial realities and national development challenges.

Embedding impact management in early-stage ventures

Salkan coached founders across several early-stage startups, combining practical training with tailored support to embed impact management across strategy, governance, operations, measurement and decision-making. Salkan was founded by Xavier de Briey, an engineer, entrepreneur and impact management professional whose career has developed across technology, innovation and international development.

After co-founding and leading the technological development of Nectar Technologies — an agri-tech startup building data tools for commercial beekeepers to improve hive health and help secure the pollinated food supply — Xavier transitioned into international cooperation, specializing in MEAL, project management, organizational learning and knowledge management.

This combination brings the rigor of impact management to innovation — and the adaptability and problem-solving mindset of entrepreneurship to development practice.
